I Met Fear :francispoems

I met fear
One silent night
Dark in my room
He was too near and could not dare.
He was so fearsome
Red skin and rude kin
His eyes burn in rage
Nose fumes out anger.
His mouth pours failure
Goose pimples sprinkled on my body
My heart jumped into my mouth
My screaming only voiced in my mouth
In awe I became speechless and brainless.
Cowardice made me to shiver down my spine.
Sweat begins to rain out my pores
It cannot pause

I could hear my pulse
My mouth lingering to shout
Feet too weary to flee.
He came closer
And I could smell his dusty odor
He coiled around my cold neck
And faintly I fell to the floor
Only to realize it's my belt.
Hmm I met fear
