Letter to my mother: francispoems

Raven deliver this piece to my mother
Fly as fast as how your wings can carry  you
Mount the winds, under your wings
Cross as an arrow of God to my motherland
Tell her I haven't forgotten her youthful days,
where men clash over her with matchets.
When her beauty sends men into chain of love.

Tell her now its no more
Her beauty has withered as a wreath
In the midst of the sun
I could hear her groan and brood each day,
her  sobbing has made her thin and bony creature
Tell her our kinsmen are abusing us
with the same power we entrusted them.
They have chained speechless soul’s brain,
sipping and draining their hard earned penny.

Tell her ,her children, our kinsmen now ticks ,
sucking our little blood and leaving us a lean purse
We can't stand the scent it emanate like a rotten carcass.
They now suffer ignominy from their deceitful ways
Peace is now a moratorium in your home.
They are now paraquat in our fields that needs to be uprooted.
But who got the big axe to uproot them?
Parvenu beings now ruling us with fist rod and firmly rooted.

Inform my mother that I cry over her fate each day
Only her children can make her happy
so uproot all poignant plants on the field
Don't be senile in your actions mother. Let's seal our cracks, fill our pits,
light our darkness, lift our heads and pride as one oak tree
Let's stand up to build the beauty of our motherland.
